Space Probe Taurus 1965

In the year 2000, the spaceship Hope One sets off to find new galaxies for colonization. However, an encounter with an alien being and a swarm of meteorites sends the ship streaking off course into a sea of monsters on an uncharted world.

Film Trivia

The alien found on the derelict spaceship is identical to the Martian in The Wizard of Mars (1965).
In the credits for the TV version entitled "Space Monster", Russ Bender and Baynes Barron are credited as "Russ Fender" and "Baynes Barrow", respectively.
The "sea monster" shown briefly near the end of the film is actually footage of one of the gill-men from War-Gods of the Deep (1965).
The film takes place in 2000.
