Neuburg portrays a small terminus station set in the former East Germany (DDR) in the 1980s, shortly before reunification.

There is a small industrial complex that provides various types of freight traffic. Passenger traffic is a mix of local and regional trains.

Motive power is mainly diesel but there is the occasional steam visitor.

Uppingham is a model of an actual single line 3.5 mile spur from Seaton in Rutland which closed in 1960. The model is built to a scale of 3mm to 1ft and is not to be confused with T1120 which is not the same. The layout runs entirely on DC and uses vintage H&M point motor control with Gaugemaster controllers. The track is 3mm Society sleeper base with Peco HOm pointwork. All the buildings are scratch built-in card covered in embossed styrene. Rolling stock is a mixture of scratch-built, ready-made vintage Triang TT and kit-built items. 

St Johns is a South Devon branch line set in 1931 with Great Western steam locomotives hauling local and holiday passenger traffic, freight and milk trains along the fictitious line which is an imaginary extension of the Brixham branch line in the Torbay area. The layout is 00 gauge and measures 16 feet by 2 foot 6 on 4 base boards 4 feet long and was built as a memory of my late father John who was born in 1931 hence the layouts name and year modelled. The locos are all ready to run models and feature DCC sound adding to the experience when viewing the layout which also has background sounds of the sea waves. There are many things to look for on the layout which has been built to capture the area and is not just about the trains. Norman Colliery was born out of a need to have somewhere to shove wagons about with my growing collection of early design diesel shunters. The baseboards where originally mad for a OO continuous run 12' x 8' layout that never materalised. They were converted to a | 16' x 2' scenic layout with a 72' exchange yard. The premise is that the colliery is at the end of its life with the lower screens closing down and only the top screens in use. The only problem is that feeder road to the upper screens has been closed by subsidence so a link line had to be made to the lower line. This gave me the multi-level layout that you do not often see in O gauge. The engines are all kit built from various manufacturers except one 03 from Brassworks. The wagons are all kits, mainly Parkside Dundas with a couple of Slaters and Piercy. The colliery buildings are all scratchbuilt from foamboard with brick and stonework from Slaters and window frames from Highland castings. The track is all Peco, the point motors are from Conrad.
